The minutes of November 12, 2007 meeting were approved as distributed.
Treasurer K. Ann McCartney reported that the chapter’s opening balance as of November 12, 2007 was $35.00.There was no activity, and the closing balance as of January 21, 2008, was $35.00.
Kevin Connelly, as the Northwest Region 1 of AIP governor, reported that he has not determined the dates for the Region’s next Conference. The members suggested that a weekend in May 2008 would be most preferable. He has received the Region’s membership list from AIP in order to contact the members and notify them as of the place and date of the Conference. Mr. Connelly noted that Rudy Jones and Bob Dolan are not on the membership list.
President McClintock reported as the AIP Web Oversight Committee operator that Certified Parliamentarians and Certified Professional Parliamentarians could be allowed one or two changes to their individual websites. There will be “a new look and feel” to the website, and it should be up in about two months.
President McClintock stated that the nominating committee will be elected at the next meeting in March 2008, and that the annual meeting will be in May.
The members, by general consent, decided to study the chapter on the bully in The Guerrilla Guide to Robert’s Rules as the education for the current meeting.
The meeting recessed at 8:03 PM for education and reconvened at 8:55 PM. President McClintock announced that since Rudy Jones is no longer a member of AIP, he is no longer a member of the North Sound Chapter or its vice president.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:59 PM.

March 17, 2008
The regular meeting of the North Sound Chapter was called to order at 8:15 PM on January 21, 2008, by President Paul McClintock. Those in attendance were Paul McClintock, Treasurer K. Ann McCartney, and Secretary Kevin Connelly. A quorum was present.
The minutes of January 21, 2008 were approved as distributed.
Treasurer K. Ann McCartney reported that the chapter’s opening balance as of January 21, 2008 was $35.00. There was income of $12.00, which consisted of dues paid by new member Ann McFarlane ($4.00 for this year, and $8.00 for the upcoming year), and the closing balance as of March 17, 2008, was $47.00.
President McClintock called for nominations for the nominating committee. Kevin Connelly moved “that the nominating committee consist of Kevin Connelly, Ann McCartney, and Ann McFarlane.” The motion was adopted, and the committee will report at the annual meeting in May.
The meeting recessed at 8:30 PM for education and reconvened at 9:35 PM.
Ann McCartney moved “that the chapter accept any offer from the NW Region 1 Governor to do a workshop at the Northwest Region 1 Conference in May 2008.” The motion was adopted.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:38 PM.

May 12, 2008
The annual meeting of the North Sound Chapter was called to order at 7:45 PM on May 12, 2008, by President Paul McClintock. Those in attendance were Paul McClintock, Treasurer K. Ann McCartney, and Secretary Kevin Connelly. A quorum was present.
The minutes of March 17, 2008 were approved as distributed.
Treasurer K. Ann McCartney gave the annual treasurer’s report. She reported that the chapter’s opening balance as of April 30, 2007 was $115.00. There were receipts of $12.00, and disbursements of $80.00, and the closing balance as of April 30, 2008, was $47.00. The audit committee, consisting of President McClintock and Kevin Connelly, reported the books were found to be in order, and Mr. Connelly moved “to adopt the report of the audit committee.” The motion was adopted.
Kevin Connelly reported from the nominating committee that the committee presented the following slate of candidates for office:
President: Paul McClintock
Vice President: Ann McFarlane
Secretary: Kevin Connelly
Treasurer: K. Ann McCartney
President McClintock called for nominations from the floor for each position, and none were received. The slate of candidates presented by the nominating committee was elected.
There was informal discussion about the North Sound Chapter purchasing some literature for the chapter from the American Institute of Parliamentarians.
The meeting recessed at 8:08 PM for education. The education consisted of the chapter’s preparation for its workshop to be presented at the upcoming Northwest Region One Annual Conference.
The meeting reconvened at 9:59 PM, and adjourned at 10:00 PM.
